Rooibos Rose Latte
By popular demand, I’ve decided to write down this caffeine-free rooibos rose latte also on my website. ☕️
Here is my recipe for you, it makes one cup and takes a few minutes to whip up.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp of organic rooibos powder or tea
- 1 cup foamy oat milk (or any other kind)
- 1 tsp rose water
- 1/4 tsp coconut oil or ghee
- 1/2 tsp maple syrup
- pinch of rock salt
- pinch of bourbon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
You can find a homemade rose water recipe here.
If you can’t find rooibos powder, you can make normal rooibos tea, then foam the milk and add all ingredients into your mug.
Usually, I add everything into a milk frother, it combines and warms all ingredients perfectly. You could also cook it in a normal pot.
Since rooibos is caffeine-free, you can drink this late at night as well. If you have a hard time falling asleep, you can add a pinch of sedative nutmeg.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, we can’t fall asleep when we are „light-headed“, meaning we need some grounding, like a warm cup of this grounding rooibos latte.
Let me know if you try this!
With Love,
Lisa
